Pete Watling competed in the Staffordshire Schools Country Championships at Northwood Stadium in Stoke on Saturday 6th June.
Pete took the Senior Boys 100m title in a time of 10.8 seconds, equalling a record set by K. Croydon 41 years ago in 1969. The following day Pete completed in the Midland online drugstore Counties U20/23 Championships at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham, taking Silver in the 100m in 10.92 seconds and Gold in the 200m in 22.34 seconds. On his way to the final Pete recorded a PB time of 22.33 seconds in the heats.
