An excellent weekend of results as three club athletes came away from Sheffield with medals and indoor pbs.
Adam Saul-Braddock (U17) continued his impressive winter and reverted to indoors over 800m and after qualifying from his heat on Saturday he ran a new personal best in placing 3rd in the final on Sunday with 1:57.45 seconds which gives him a UK ranking currently of 3rd in his age group.
Ellis Greatrex and Psalm Roberts-Nash earned silver and bronze medals respectively in the final of the U20 400m on Sunday. Relaxed and confident qualification from the heats and semi-finals on the Saturday both athletes ran indoor personal bests over the 2 days. Ellis now goes to Cardiff on Sunday 5th March representing England U20’s at the Welsh International over the same distance.
Niall Price equalled his indoor pb of 7.17 secs in reaching the semi-final of the U17 60 metres sprint and Harry Drummond in the U20 60 metres, after a poor start which nearly saw him fall, composed himself to finish strong in 4th place of his heat.
These performances are encouraging in what will be an exciting outdoor season. Report from Ellis’s performance in Cardiff will be shown on here.
