Wolves Athletes Excel at the National Indoor Arena

Since writing this it’s noted that we missed out Clinoa and Elle who took part in the 60 metre hurdles, Cliona came first in 9.71 and Elle came third in her first race in 11.04. This was a personal best for both athletes. They wore our colours with pride against athletes from Bristol, Torbay, Coventry, Birchfield and Bromsgrove.

Another athlete recently in action at the indoors at NIA was Hayley Richards, coached by Noel McKay and Dave Guest. On her indoor debut in 800m at the Birmingham Games she lowered her 800m personal best by 5 seconds to 2.20. The following week she was back in action in 800m again at Midland Championships running 2.20 again and gaining a silver medal in the process. Last weekend Hayley competed in her final indoor race this season, this time in the 1500m. A quick pace saw Hayley smash her 1500m personal best set last season by 10 seconds to 4.47.
